X 750 Inconel Alloy Strip Heat Resistant Nickel Alloy For Precision Components

Inconel X‑750 Strips: Heat‑Resistant Nickel Alloy for Precision Components

    Product Overview

Inconel X‑750 Strips (UNS N07750) are precipitation‑hardening nickel‑chromium alloys specifically formulated to meet the most rigorous demands of high‑temperature and corrosive‑service applications. With a typical composition of 70–75 % Ni, 14–17 % Cr, 0.75–1.50 % Ti, and 0.15–0.75 % Al, X‑750 achieves a fine dispersion of γ′ (Ni₃(Al,Ti)) precipitates during controlled aging, elevating yield strength above 830 MPa and ultimate tensile strength beyond 1 030 MPa, while retaining elongation above 15 %. These mechanical characteristics persist in continuous service up to 700 °C, making X‑750 Strips ideal for components exposed to cyclic thermal loading, such as turbine blade shims, heat‑exchanger baffles, coil springs, and downhole clip bands.

Beyond high‑temperature strength, X‑750 Strips offer exceptional resistance to chloride stress‑corrosion cracking and oxidation in oxidizing or mildly reducing atmospheres. Their weldability by TIG/GTAW or electron‑beam processes, followed by a simple post‑weld aging treatment, enables fabrication of complex assemblies without sacrificing performance. Strips are supplied in thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 5 mm, widths up to 300 mm, in mill‑annealed or cold‑worked conditions, with optional pickled or electropolished finishes. Custom dimensions and heat‑treat cycles are available to optimize creep‑rupture life, fatigue strength, or corrosion resistance for region‑specific applications across South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.

    • ASME SB‑637 – Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code

    Applications

Inconel X‑750 Strips are specified for:

    • Aerospace – Blade shims, turbine seals, coil spring elements.

    • Power Generation – Superheater baffle plates, heat‑exchanger fins.

    • Chemical Processing – High‑temperature mixer blades, reactor liners.

    • Nuclear – Spring clips, control‑rod support hardware.

    • Oil & Gas – Downhole snap‑rings, sealing strips, corrosion‑resistant clamps.

    • Marine – Bilge cooler strips, desalination‑plant coils.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What makes X‑750 Strips superior for cyclic‑temperature service?
A1: The γ′ precipitate microstructure and controlled grain size impart outstanding creep‑rupture resistance and fatigue life under repeated thermal cycling up to 700 °C.

Q2: Are Inconel X‑750 Strips weldable without strength loss?
A2: Yes. TIG/GTAW and electron‑beam welding followed by post‑weld aging fully restore precipitation‑hardening and mechanical properties.

Q3: Can strips be supplied in custom dimensions and finishes?
A3: Absolutely. Thicknesses from 0.1–5 mm and widths up to 300 mm are standard; pickled, electropolished, or cold‑worked conditions are available per specification.
